Rainbow Ribbon Garland

Once I had the food table set up, and the kids table, I felt like there one was thing missing and that was on the front of the main table. I was using a white tablecloth which tied into all the little cloud details I brought in, like the cupcake toppers, and paper cutouts on the snack cups. The tablecloth needed a little color as well so I made a bright ribbon garland to hang on the front. Here is how I did it and the supplies you’ll need:

Rainbow Ribbon Garland

Ingredients

  • Assorted sizes, patterns & colors of ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun

Instructions

  1. Using the widest sized ribbon, cut a piece equal to the length around the outside of your table. I was using a 4 foot table so I cut mine to cover the front and two sides.
  2. Cut all your other ribbon into strips of different lengths.
  3. Add a drop of hot glue and start to glue your strips of ribbon onto the back of the wide ribbon. I found it easiest to pin the wide ribbon to my tablecloth first and then glue the strips while it was on there so I could see how it looked while I was working. I started with the wider sized ribbon strips first and then filled in using the smaller strips. In the end, I only had enough ribbon to cover the front so I left the sides blank.

About Jamie

Hi! My name is Jamie with Five Whimsy Lane and I like to make things pretty. Parties especially. Glitter enthusiast...lover of all things chocolate & a partynista. Is that a word? Wifey to one fabulous husband and mother to 3 amazing children, Caleb, Leilani & Olivia who are my main inspiration. What more could a girl ask for? When I'm not scouring Pinterest for hours (I'm working honey, I promise) you can find me digging in my fairy garden, dancing with the kids or cleaning my Dyson. Who wants a dirty vacuum? My love for parties began over 10 years ago when I was planning my sons 1st birthday. I realized I had a huge passion for details (some might call it an obsession). After many years and wonderful birthday memories later Sweet Jelly Parties was born. Children's events and baby showers are our specialty but I'm a lover of all reasons to celebrate. Anniversaries, holidays, graduations, it's a Friday so let's throw a party.....You name it, I'll glitter it. Every once in a while though I like to trade in my juice box for a glass of wine which is why I'm also a Certified Wedding Planner.
