Real Mom Take Over: “Creamy” Quinoa Cereal


We are excited to bring your our Real Mom Take Over series featuring Violet of Violet_n_Sprouts! She hopes to inspire her three children and others through her passion for cooking vegan meals, showcasing how delicious and abundant a plant based diet can be!

Creamy Quinoa

Ingredients:

1c rinsed and drained quinoa
2c unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
11/2c water

Instructions: 

Add quinoa, milk, water and salt to a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for approx 15 min or until liquid is mostly absorbed. Cover for 5 minutes and then serve with choice of toppings and sweetener.

**mom tip: purée a mix of berries, pour into a fun silicone mold, and freeze. The frozen fruit shapes can then be used as a cute and nutritious way to cool down little ones hot breakfast cereal**
