Grilled Flatbreads


These Grilled Flatbreads have a super short cooking time. They’re great as a main course, or even an appetizer. Get that fire baked pizza taste in the comfort of your backyard! Re-Play Flat Plates make the perfect serving dish for this low key delicatesse.

Mix garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar together. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside to drizzle on top of the final product.

Grill flatbreads until just charred one side. Flip and move to indirect heat. Top with mozzarella and tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper. Cover grill and allow cheese to melt.

Sprinkle with basil and drizzle with balsamic mixture.

Ingredients:

  • 3 prepared flatbread naan
  • 6 thin slices fresh mozzarella
  • 6 thin slices Roma tomato
  • Basil, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1.5 Tbsp olive oil, plus more for brushing on naan
  • 1.5 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation:

  1. Prepare a grill for direct and indirect heat.
  2. Combine garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar in a small bowl. Whisk together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Brush naan pieces with olive oil.
  4. Grill over direct heat until just charred – watch carefully, as it will only take a few seconds.
  5. Flip naan and remove to indirect heat.
  6. Top each piece with mozzarella and tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper. Close grill and allow cheese to melt.
  7. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with basil. Drizzle with balsamic mixture.
