Halloween Pretzels

Halloween Pretzels are a fun treat for any trick or treaters!

Halloween is right around the corner friends!  What are your little ones going as this year? I’ll be honest, growing up I never really went trick or treating.  It just wasn’t a big deal to us.  We live in the “country” and the nearest town was about 15 minutes away…needless to say we never had to share our candy at Halloween with random people that stopped at our doors 🙂   Now that I am a mother to three of my own babies we tend to do the same thing. Although, we do like to pick out fun halloween costumes and have a silly hide and seek and cookie decorating contest at Nana’s house!  Whether you trick or treat at your own home or walk to streets to all your neighbors these Halloween Pretzels are the perfect treat!

  • Pretzel Rods
  • White Candy Melts
  • Halloween Colored Sprinkles, I used purple and a mix of orange and black
  • Edible Candy Eyes

Begin by melting 1 cup of white candy melts.  You can either do this in a melting pot or in a microwaveable safe bowl  at 30 second increments in the microwave.  Once melted, stir until all the lumps are gone.  Place your pretzel in the melted chocolate and use a spoon to pour it on at least half of the pretzel.  You can choose to cover the whole pretzel but half way is less mess and easier for kids.

While your chocolate is still warm sprinkle on your halloween sprinkles and add eyes if desired.

We love those candy googly eyes.  They add so much fun to so many kids treats.  You can either place these pretzels in a small bowl or package them in pairs to hand out to your neighbors or classmates.
