The paws and nose are embellished with black frosting – conveniently in canned form.

A toothpick can help to apply the more intricate details. Candied eyes are easy and cashews work well for ears.

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream, one smaller than the other, form the body and head. Add in the accessories and you have one spectacular dessert.

Our heart shaped gumdrop (made by cutting the top with scissors and reshaping some) may have been stolen by a small and crafty child.

Give yours to the polar bear as a valentine themed gesture.
