Scarecrow Veggie Tray

What is more Fall friendly than a scarecrow 🙂  While they may get a bad rap for being scary they can also be friendly and kid approved.  This scarecrow veggie tray is such a fun way to get your kids to snack on their veggies!

This friendly scarecrow is a perfect spread for any Harvest day themed party.  Served with extra veggies on the side this is sure to be a favorite snack. You only need a few simple supplies to make this scarecrow veggie tray and it’s completely customizable to your families favorite veggies.

Ingredients and Supplies:

  • Veggie dip, homemade or store-bought
  • Veggies, your favorites
  • Bowl
  • Plate

Start of by placing a bowl filled with your veggie dip in the middle of a large plate.  Then you will want to scatter your veggies around to give the scarecrow some hair and a hat. We used shredded carrots and pretzel sticks but you could also use cheese and Wheat Thins or even yellow or red peppers.

They we added some cucumber eyes with a tiny chocolate chip on top.  You could also use olives but my kids don’t like those 🙂   Then use your remaining veggies to bring the scarecrow more to life.

There really is no wrong way to make this friendly scarecrow.  You can even let your kids create their own scarecrow with their own smaller bowl and small plate.
